how do i disable the popup blocker?

Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Turn Off Pop-up Blocker?

thanks but it still doesn't work, i'm trying to disable it so that i can go into msn chat rooms, but everytime i try to look at somebody profile it blocks me.

Do you know for sure if it's the IE pop-up blocker or not? Maybe you have some other pop-up-blocking or internet security software installed that's doing it?

i think the only popup blocker that i have is the internet explorer, but i don't know if Norton Anivirus 2005 has it

Norton Internet Security has a basic built-in pop-up blocker.
You might want to try disabling NIS.

do u have the google toolbar, coz that has a pop up blocker built into it

i have no toolbars installed

why do u want it turned off anyway ?
