if u have admin access, i think u can browse through the registry and fids your sisters account in HKEY_USERS then find the MsgPlus2 key and disable StuffPlug NG.

I'm not sure but it might work.
SoundPacks   -   Scripts   -   Skins

that's not a bug, thats an unexpected feature

In the Registry I found this.

quote:
[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1645522239-448539723-725345543-1003\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\[email address]\Preferences\Plugins\stuffplug-ng.dll]

Then i found this tag
quote:
"Enable"=dword:0x00000001 (1)

Then i changed it to
quote:
"Enable"=dword:0x00000000 (0)

That disabled it for that email address.
But would this work on every1's computer?
Can some people have a look 4 me?
Thanks

RE: Restricting Plug-in Access
If you are 200% sure that "S-1-5-21-1645522239-448539723-725345543-1003" is the ID of your sisters windows account, then yes, that would disable StuffPlug-NG for that MSN account. But the person of whom that ID belongs to, only needs to login in Messenger with [email address] and has to enable StuffPlug-NG again in the plugin section to let it work again.

But also, as said, are you sure that that ID is your sisters?... Cause every windows account on the computer has its own ID under \HKEY_USERS. It's very possible that you've changed the settings of your own account...

You need to know that \HKEY_USERS is something you should never fiddle with unless you know 500% sure about what you're exactly doing. Because you could easly changing other peoples windows account....

If you simply wanted to alter her plugins settings on her MSN account and you are all using the same Windows account (note the difference between MSN account and actual Windows account) then you should stay away from \HKEY_USERS and the proper key to alter is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\[email address]\Preferences\Plugins\stuffplug-ng.dll
and nothing else! But as said above, she only needs to enable it again to use it again, so this is no "protection" at all.

Golden tip: Never alter anything in \HKEY_USERS

RE: Restricting Plug-in Access
If you are using XP Pro and have Administrator privileges and are using NTFS, you can apply special permissions to StuffPlug's DLL file:

1. Locate Plus! plugin directory, i.e. Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins
2. Enable advanced security settings control by going: Tools\Folder Options -> View\Advanced Settings -> UNCHECK "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)". Click OK.
3. Right-click on StuffPlug DLL file, select "Properties".
4. In "Security" tab, modify the permission of your sister's windows account. Generally, just deny everything and so on.
5. That way, Windows will ban any access, requested by your sister's account, to StuffPlug DLL file. And then Plus! can't load StuffPlug under your sister's windows account, for sure :)

If you are using XP Home, you can still do this in Safe Mode, but I don't know if they'll work perfectly though...

(The terms may be different; I'm using a Chinese Windows)
