O.P. Status Pic Changer
Does anyone know how to get this to work? Also when I try to configure it, going through the Plugin menu doesn't work. I have to type "/xspcConfig" to get to the menu. After I config it that way nothing happens when change my status. Even after typing "/xspcEnable".

edit: Also how do I remove plugin's? I installed the one mentioned above and tried uninstalling it by removing the files in the plugin folder. When I look in the Plus! plugin's panel it says that the file is unloaded. How do I properly remove it?

This is for future reference in case I can't get it to work and for others I may want to install and test out.

Close Messenger completely first.

Hi, I'm the programmer of the plugin you're talking about,
Yes when you close the Config Dialog the plugin will be disabled. It was a bug i fixed it and the new version can be downloaden from:
http://www.msgplus.net/pluginsdb/down/?action=file&id=102

Also, be sure you have Windows Messenger installed (at least 4.7).
If you still have problems PM me:)

Nope. I made sure it was removed from the tray and in the Task Manager processes.

1 Shutdown MSN Messenger
2 Remove spc.dll from plugin dir
3 Remove registry Keys:
In the folder:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Patchou\MsgPlus2\RegisteredPlugins
AND
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Patchou\MsgPlus2\RegisteredPlugins

Only the Key: "Status Picture Changer"

4 Run:
regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins\spc.dll"

Now the plugin is completely gone.

Edit:
*Also when installing make sure you don't run installer.exe directly from your  archive utility. I had problems installing when doing that(don't ask me why).    What you should do is first unpack the files to a folder and then run installer.exe
*And make sure you have Windows Messenger installed(min. v4.7). It can be found in "C:\Program Files\Messenger"

I will give it a try ;)

P.S.
Can you make an installer for it? :)

Oh so it doesn't work MSN 6? I have Win Messenger turned off (renamed it to Messenger_off) because it always signs in when I turn on the computer. Even though it's not suppose to start up.

It does work on Msn 6.x the only thing is that My plugin uses Windows Messeger API to change the DP. If you don't have Windows Messenger it won't work.

Yeah I had that same problem its very enoying. What I did to prevent Windows Messenger to sign in is blocking internet acces to that application with my firewall.

Try renaming the Messenger folder to its orignal name and restart MSN, look if that solves the problem with my plugin
