Looks like there are quite a few posts out on the internet that say that the address there comming from is a browser hijack by the handwriting plugin.... Intresting..... Oh Blasphemer!

is/was the page that everybody would get when they install/run the handwriting plugin without installing the ink redistributables first....

It showed a message that they should install the ink redists first.
Why TB used a page like that instead of a simple messagebox in his plugin? Who knows... maybe he wanted to track the amount of bad installs. (but IMHO, he should have made that page more clearer)

I guess TB got tired of the questions that people were asking why their handwriting wouldn't work. Some people even said the handwriting was spyware/adware because it opened a connection to that page and it popped up every time they started up Messenger. DUH!!!!

There wasn't anything on that site anyways for a long time. But no it isn't dead cause you can still access it (although nothing is there).

Damn... I'm glad I set up that redirect last night... the thread is getting hit even harder today... I put a hit counter on the number of users getting redirected: 118 per minute!!! That's 2 requests for showthread.php?tid=22276 every second!

That seems highly suspicious... I've tested my hit counter code though and I'm sure it's correct.

I think I'll do some further investigation, and if this keeps up, just completely block the damn requests via .htaccess.

Sorry, that was me who put the link back up.  I was fed up of people asking me when they kept that page coming up and it said page not found, so i linked it to that page.

I can take it down if you want?

Yeah, please stop redirecting those 107.8 users per minute to our poor forums...

In the 3-4 hours that I've been counting, there were over 23000 requests.
