Wouldnt there be a way if both parties had a plugin custom emoticions could be displayed in a nickname?

Nope, protocol problems...Unless it replaced the normal toasts with custom designed toasts...dunno how hard it would be to do, I can't think of a way

OK forget the toasts.....(even tho custom toasts have been made by Hopper and Stuffplug-NG). This can work a similar way Plus! works to display colors in nicknames.

lol, sorry, but it's getting on my nerves cause NO-ONE searches if there are tons of results...

but i aplogise, because it's custom emoticons, not custom emoticions, so it's not your fault.

yeah it would be great, also the emoticons in peoples names should be shown even if you've re-named with Messenger Plus!

I havent been here in a while. i would havent bumped it earlier..


i have the MSN 7 beta but i dont remember if it has custom emoticons in nicknames and in the contact list.

I doubt it will ever happen because it will mean you have to download each custom emoticon in there name. I mean your limited to 5 custom emoticons in a post.
And with MSN7 the emoticons in your contacts name are shown in the contact list.
So that would mean that you'd have to download the emoticon even before you'd opened a convosation.
