I have windows xp, messenger plus 6.2.0137 and messenger plus 3.20.100.... and i cant use messenger lock.... grrrrr...

its been working fine.... then i installed the newer plus and it went wrong...
so i uninstalled it... and went back to the last version ... and since then... nothing... i dont need the boss protection... just to be able to lock it when the kids use the computer...

help .... please....

Have you re-enabled it, check in preferences to see if its enabled.

yes i've enabled it... all i get is a message to say that i should sign into messenger again... which i've done... about 6 times... and it still doesn't work...

Do you have Spleak installed ? The talking bot ?

Yes I do have Spleak... (curiousity got the better of me) and come to think of it... I haven't been able to lock Messenger since then...

A bit later....

I've tried to uninstall Spleak and it won't let me... I've sent a message to them... but they have replied that there isn't the option to delete yet...

Any suggestions?

I have a question regarding the ''lock'' on Messenger Plus !

If i enable it, choose a password, and a ''key combination'', and i reboot, when i come back the lock is disabled (It's normal), is there a way to lock it and stay locked even after a reboot ?

No, this cannot be done.

You need to install the latest version of Spleak to be able to uninstall it. Boss Protect and Lock mode do notwork with the current versions of Plus! and Spleak combined together. I'm currently working on a fix and it will be there in later updates.
