Hey Folks...!

I would like to hear if someone have the same problem as me, all my MSN services are dead, it hasn't been working for about a month now, its Messenger, MSN explorer and if i try to recieve the hotmail webpage my IE browser cant find the page....

Hope someone in here can help me...

do you have a firewall or a router? It could be it's blocking some ports.

Hmm dont know ....

But the strange thing is that it just suddenly gone down...

How can i tjeck the other thing, firewall ect...

MSN has been up and down this month but all systems are running again

add:  so it must not be a problem with msn services

do you have ZoneAlarm or Norton? Do you connect to the internet with one pc or do you have a network at your home?

Hmm no I only have one pc connected to the internet, and no HUB, Hmm i have Norton 2003 installed

system restore is the only thin that worked for me

Okay, how do I do that, and will i lose DATA, my dad has a lot of business stuff on our comp....

Try contacting Matty on these forums, im sure he would be glad to help, he tried to help me but nothing worked, only system restore, good luck.

Try doing this:

If you are using Windows XP:
Click Start -> Run and type *:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\hosts (where * is the HD your windows is installed)

If you are using Windows 2K:
Click Start -> Run and type *:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\hosts (where * is the HD your windows is installed)

If you are using Windows 98/ME:
Click Start -> Run and type *:\WINDOWS\hosts (where * is the HD your windows is installed)

Then select to open the file with notepad.
Search if there is any msn or hotmail related thing in there.
If there is delete and save
