I don't use a Hotmail account for MSNMessenger, and when I right click someone to 'Send E-mail', it launches Outlook Express. Is there any way to make Yahoo! Mail [what I currently use] the default mail client thingy from within Messenger?

Unless there is some kind of hack or patch lying around that I don't know of then no, it's not possible. MSN/Hotmail + MSN Messenger are all Microsoft products/services.
