Everytime i open a convirsion win it asks if i want to save a conv or not i say no then when msn is restarted again it says it again same with the msn today window!

{b]P.S i don't have the this is a shared computer don't save my settings on this computer ticked!

msn messenger public beta
msgplus lastest beta (Its still there when u kill it so nothing to do with plus!
win xp sp2 all updates
no patches on msn

any ideas whats causing this

1. What do you use to save convo's? MSN or Plus! (i assume the one in MSN, as it has never asked me wether i wanted to save a convo or not)
2. Does it do that too when you kill msg plus!? If so this is a MSN 7 bug (if you turned off saving convo's as i described in 3) and should be reported to MSN.
3. For now if you don't intend to save convo's you can turn it off in MSN itself (in main MSN screen: Tools > options > messages..uncheck "automaticly keep a history ....." under Message History

I hope i understood you correctly: sayin no restarts MSN?
If it just asks you on every convo and you have saving enabled it's normal for msn to ask on each convo i think (not a bug).

You can make MSN not do that aswell: tools > options > general..untick "display MSN today..."

Msn today appers when signing in even know i unticked it but when going to options again its ticked again!


Add: its Back again!!!!!

Ahh, so basicly what you are sayin is that MSN restores those settings on restart (MSN today and the saving of convo's). This is very weird, as it doesn't do that on mine. I also have no idea how that can be caused other then maybe you installed MSN on an account without adminpriviledges. You could try installing it on the account called "administrator" in safemode (safemode to be sure the account has all priviledges), and see if that helps.


Edit: Ahh ok, that means MSN got buggered up somehow. I'm leaving my advice in this post incase it happens again and reinstalling doesn't work

Know ITS back just after signing in msn today came back and that thing about saving conv mess! Were can you report it to Microsoft?

Yes

In the main MSN 7 Beta screen click help and select "send feedback", you will then be taken to an MSN page..on that page click "contact Customer Support" and report the bug.
