I hope Patchou will not add features that already exist in plugins, spendig time that could be better used !
And I don't see why you don't want to use SPNG...

This feature isnt alredy available in a plugin.
It can be emulated using stuffplug chat only names. But what if he wants to have his name in the chat to be "John (¯`v´¯) Cindy".
Then he cant use stuffplugs chat only names for this.

There's no plugin that does exactly what my idea is. StuffPlug can change your chat name which would make the /me command do what I want, but it's not the solution I'm looking for. I don't want my chat name to always be different just cause I want my name in the /me command to be different.

thats the whole point of this thread kangie

I like this idea!  I have refrained from using the /me command because I include my website (or other info) as part of my display name and it's hard to see what I'm "doing" if I use the /me command.  It would be great to be able to just use my name in the /me command.  (Then I might actually start using it!)
