I am new to this forum thingie...so sorry if i step on someones toes...

Is it possible to make a personalised status whilst still "Online" and also when "Offline", it's not always you want to be halfway online...

Good suggestion with the 'online' idea, but I'm afraid that the offline one probably won't be possible to be honest. Because people won't be able to see it, as the information will have to be sent through, and if you are noticed as offline, then you won't connect with that other member, therefore the status will not show at all....

THe online idea is slightly strane, because I think that people would see it and think that you're away or something because, as most people do, they look at the end of the names, not the logo, and if it says something in brackets ('...'). then I personally would automatically assume that the person is away or something without any further investigation.

I was thinking about day-to-day emotion, like "VCE {sleepy} (Online)" or "VCE {sad} (Online)"

the ting about Offline I didn't enticipate....

I apologise for my mistake, I meant 'Strange'..

To be honest, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but to add the whole (online) thing would be editing the protocol afaik, and I doubt that Patchou would do it, because editing the protocol is illegal and patchou likes to stay legal .

When i set my personal status to Playing, my name is VCE {Playing} (Busy), so I don't see the problem...

I know, but the status 'busy' is already there, therefore he doesn't have to edit much afaik, and doesn't have to edit the protocol to do so, if he was to do the online thing, he would have to create the tag 'online'...

I thougt the personalised status only added a tag to the end of the name, changed to the desired status, and enabled the automessage function...

You just copy the personalised status tags from when the status is busy or whatever,  then paste it after your name when your online.

That's what I do now, I was looking for the short-cut....

You could set up a quick text like this

code:

/nick (!N) {(!P)}

---

Have that as something like /statustag
Then you could just type

quote:

---

/statustag Happy

---

and that would set your name to "Whatever you name was before" {Happy}
Which would mean you had a customstatus as "(Happy)"
