When I install Messenger Plus!, MSN messenger wont start anymore.. (see the attached picture)

When I un-install plus! MSN works properly again..

It not only happens at my PC on my room, it happens on every PC in my LAN and even on school this happens to me.

The versions I use..

MSN 7.0 BETA directly downloaded from http://www.msn.nl
plus! 3.40 (http://download.msgplus.net/files/beta78416DF11/MsgPlus-340Beta.exe)

I also tried 3.25 (http://download.msgplus.net/files/MsgPlus-325.exe) but that one doesnt work either..

Please let me know what to do about this, and what creates this error..

Wow, that is really strange... do all pcs use the deutch version of windows? and are they all the same? any service packs loaded for windows on these pcs?

To be honest I have no idea what is happening, I will email Patchou this thread so he sees it ASAP

Only thing i can think of that might cause this is Spleak, because Spleak adds the Spleak bot to your contactlist (wich would explain why it happens on every comp, even the one at school..if it was just on one comp i'd say it's Smileycentral).

If you have Spleak, uninstall it and everything should work fine again.


To uninstall Spleak:

1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel
2. Add/remove programs (software)
3. Look for IMT Labs Plugin and press the button to remove it.

This will remove cloud.exe and all other relevant Spleak files.

Also note: Spleak isn't compatible with MSN 7...maybe you installed it when you still had MSN 6.2?
