Xbox live is an online gaming contract thing, not a gaming console. It ias an add-on for the xbox to be able to play online with other players.

technically it is not an add on, the online package for the PS2 is an add on, but xbox live is just a service, because the xbox already comes fully equipped for online except that you need an account.

what you'll get with that, is a 12 month subscription to xbox live, a headset and two games, no xbox
