First of all, I can tell you this: Patchou didn't trick over 6 million people into installing a little virus.

There is a virus scanner which incorrectly marks the installer as a virus, but I think you're talking about the optional sponsor.

You should find what you're looking for on the "Get the facts" page in the link above. Just be aware that there is no virus packaged in the installer. You have either installed the sponsor unintentionally, or are using a very poor virus scanner.
