My friend has and XP machine and she is running norton internet securities 2005 and her Intrusion protection isn't working.  She doesn't want to reinstall it because she got it with her system.  Any suggestions on how to corect this?

Could you give us a few more details such as if it WAS working and what exactly is (or isn't ) happening?

Also: Why doesn't she want to re-install it? It doesn't matter if it DID come with her system, a re-install STILL might help...

she got errors regarding her secirty but she is the admin and also she doesn't have the CD.  She bought it at staples..It works fine otherwise

Did it not work right from the box or did it work for a while first?

What brand is it? (Compaq, Toshiba, HP, etc.)

It worked fine from the box it's a compaq machine

So what caused the problems then? You have to tell me or I can't help

I don't know just stopped working all of a sudden she doesn't know
