can some 1 please help me on why this is happening:  yesterday on got on the computer and it was fine ...but then after a bit these "ad" icons pop up on my desktop...well usually when it does this i am able to move them to the recycle bin and be done with them....but this time they wont move or anything not even right clicking on them...all i can do is open them and go to the "ad's" site which it stupid....the only way i can get them off of my desktop is just by pressing ctrl+alt+delete and end the task Iexplorer....then in like a few seconds they apear again! so i have to keep ending its task! SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO GET THOSE ICONS OFF!!!!

Try Ad-Aware, it will get rid of adware which causes problems like this and it's free.

ya i know ...i already have ad=aware and a ran it and i ran spy sweeper...neither of them worked

can someone please tell me what to do?????????????? i hate my computer (windows me) and want to upgrade it to windows xp soooooooo bad!!!! but anyways someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya i had the same problem once. What i did was i uninstalled the program i had installed. Plus

U tried that but did u update  the definnitions before scanning ???

OOO!! I have that exact problem! If I'd have known, I wouldn't have posted a fresh thread. I have several desktop icons that I can't remove either..its a bit useless to have them around if you dont want them stupid lop.com... it's not even related to anything I downloaded, I don't think..
