what are some tools i can download to edit my pictures for avatars because pictures from paint are'nt accepted, are any of these things free????

And no, none of the GOOD programs are free, though you can get free tirals....or make them.....free.....

They're professional grade editors, that's why they cost so much

Pictures from paint are accepted, its the size of the pic that matters. You could also do "save as" and choose jpg

The most common used program is Adobe Photoshop, however this program is very expensive.

A few free ones are:

what sunshine is saying is you go File  then click Save as  then enter your file name and click the drop down box and choose jpg then hit save
