I was just wondering at what age would your parents let you go abroad on your own? And under what circumstances?

Im going abroad with my friends once ive done my GCSEs, so i'll be 16 then (we are going to Budapest). And ive been on school trips before, but Budapest will be the first time without adults

I went to the US alone, when I was 14. I stopped at Brazil, first... Didn't understand a thing, and almost got left behind.

18 Cause i can go to study abroad then. They would let me go earlier but didn't get the chance .....

Some responsible parents you've got there....

I went to a Swiss Camp in...well...Switzerland for Swiss citizens (my mom's ex-husband [not my dad] was swiss, so her and I are swiss citezens too now ) in 2002 (when I was 13). It was kinda cool, and I got to see Expo 2002.

i went a lot of times skiing with my parents abroad to frace and switzerland but i'm allways allowed to go to aborad school trips...(not totally alone)

'Cause I want to go abroad to visit someone I've known for over 2 years..but it'll be the first time, do you think at 17, I could go?

dunno that changes between each country way of thinking...here u couldnt, mainly 'cause ur a girl...but if u went with 3 or 4 of ur girlfriends u should be able to..
