Not for me...I am the administrator on my machine...hmmmm

www.windowsupdate.com and update.microsoft.com , etc... all work perfectly here....

note that you need to use MSIE to go to those sites...
and you also might want to check your internet settings...

EDIT after reply: in other words you needed to check your internet settings...

I did and everything seems to be fine...but can't get into windowsupdate i keep getting

Resolved here is how i did it:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoWindowsUpdate"=dword:00000000
