Why dont you just leave the server on all the time, then people can just join in whenever they want to.

And don't make it a tourney, just gaming for people who dont take gaming too seriously, and just want a bit of fun.

If you try and organise anything, it never really works tbh.

Firstky: It isn't really a tourny. We do just play for fun

Secondly: Can't leave it on all the time. It's my main PC and it has Blue LED fans + is in my room
LED lights + me = no sleep

ok, what system specs do you need to run a CS server?

I got an old pc i made ages ago, 750mhz, 128RAM, 18gb HDD, no 3d gfx.

Do I need to be able to run CS: S, or is there some server only software i can use?

Edit: also, is 512kbps download and 256kbps upload good enough to host a server, my pc is pretty quiet there are no leds , and i might be able to leave it on for a whole day, every now and again.

I am also getting CS: S in a day or two.
