I'll try to keep this simple.

My computer had Windows 98. It also had MsgPlus installed.

I had a bunch of encrypted log files... they were backed up.

I then formatted the hard drive and put in Windows 98SE. It has MsgPlus installed.

Now the password is always 'wrong'. When I try to activate encryption, a window pops up.

Fatal Error                                             [X]

   {red circle with white X in the middle}   Sorry, your system is not capable of encrypting data.   [OK]

You might need to install some Encryption extensions from Microsoft.  The power might be 28 bit and your machine at current moment might only be capable of 64bit or something like that.
