How do I block people who arn't on my list?

Tools > options > privacy..check "only people on my allowlist..."
Asfor ppl who were on your list before: check out the allowlist on same tab and move  em to the blocklist by selecting them and click "block".

That is checked but doesn't work.

then the person contacting you is on your allow list. look for him in the privacy tab and add him to the block list instead

is there a way to do it so that NOBODY can see me but the people on my list?

nope i dont think so , unless u Put urself on offline Mode

I you go to tools > options > privacy and check "only people on my allow list...", only people who are on your allowlist can see your status and send you messages.
