Hello,

I have a problem that I just cannot seem to solve.
I'm using WinXP, Messenger 6.2.0137 and Plus 3.25.106
The MSN Messenger is polygamy.

I have the following problem:
If I use a auto-message my emoticons aren't displayed, only the text and my normally functioning clickable URL (StuffPlug-NG) is selecting my name instead of the URL in my name.
With a standard MSN status these problem's do not occur.

I did some searching and already found the following:
* I do not have the custom names enabled under my Plus options
* 2 other accounts that I try on the same PC do not have this problem.
* If I use a other PC with an older MNS version and an older MSGPlus! version I still have the same problems
* With all plugins turned off I still have the same problem.

The only difference between my own account and the others is that mine is a @msn.com, not a @hotmail.com

I begin to think that the problem lies with my MSN account, not a MSGPlus setting.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction, cause it's driving me mad by now

well setting are saved per account !! so if you find out the difference is setting between your account and one of the other 2 accounts then it should fix your problem !!

i'll do some testin myself, see if i can help u find the right setting to change

I kept in testing and quess what ...
After comparing registry settings en importing Plus settings from the working accounts I still didn't have any luck ...

BUT .... this is really weird ... If I enter a longer MSN nickname the problem disappears ....
I did not count the length of my name .. but I think this is really weird ...
I've sort of solved my problem, but I really do not understand it ...
Maybe other people have the same problem ...
I'm not sure if the problem came after installing Stuffplug-NG ..
I guess not because on the other PC I do not have the plugins installed ....

Update: If I use a longer MSN name, the Personal message doesn't work anymore

Which settings are save bij MSN/Hotmail that are used on every PC and how can I compare them?

So problem still not solved

I cannot find the setting that is different.
But if I use a persoanlised auto-message I do not get my emoticons in my name. The ones in the message do appear
