Well i havn't updated my media player in ages and the version i have is the same as the one you told me to download...

Yes it is. They fixed the DRM bug

They just fixed some security issues they had in WMP that's all.  No new features or anything.

I've stil gt version 10.0.3646.

Is there any need to update? What are the differences. i thought thught the DRM bug was fixed in the windows updates released in Feb 2005. If there is a need to update where can i find it?

I just updated to WMP 10 yesterday.  I really like it alot.  9 was good but 10 is even better (although it doesnt beat Winamp )

The player update tells me I have to most updated version.
