you feel a difference when u change to 1280x1024 but within 1 /2 days u wont really notice the difference anymore.. ehgeh ironicaly ive always being using 1280x1024 but i changed to 1024x768 some days ago at beginning i thought everything was huge now i dont notice the difference except when making huge files in photoshop

This is a 17'' monitor too. Eventually, you'll get used to it. The only reason I've got it so high, is that I'm so used to it and annoyed by the size of anything smaller as I cant have as many windows open

The monitor isn't old, just cheap.
