Does anyway know of any ways to detect File Transfers in MSN, im currently using packet sniffing but i think there must be an easier way, like hooking the IM WIndows and detecting when a new progress bar thing is added to the windowless richedit control or something?

Anyone got any ideas of possible ways?

wekk i dont know if that is possible but i am sure that a plugin can be made for that.
file transfer plugin had a history panel but i dont know if that answers your suggestion.

file transfer plugin doesnt use MSN file transfer, it has its own transfer system

Maybe with the Messenger API? I'm not sure but it may be in there.

Everyone this has basically been resolved I gave Dempsey code for using AA to read the convo windows and display the last message recieved.

The IMessengerConversationWnd interface has a method that allows you to retrieve the contents of the conversation at the moment you call it.
