Can my boss make me pay for the IT guy cleaning out the viruses in the computer because the IT guy says its all due to the fact that I had signed on to MSN Messenger? The program was already installed, all I did was sign on one day. How can messenger add viruses to a computer if its not accepting files?
If you had the Bropia worm already on the comp, then it would be caused by MSN. But if you just signed in and didn't accept any file transfers or anything, then... well, that guy doesn't know what he's talking about
The answer to this question is NO, in NO case can an employer fine you for there technology bill unless it was specifically said that you cant sign on and they can prove you put the viruses there.
