O.P. Is it possible? Closing MSN in boss mode
After enabling the Boss Mode, the only way to resume MSN Messenger is obviously inserting the correct password.

Now, my question is,
if it's possible to close MSN Messenger (with Boss Mode enabled) without having to insert a correct password, nor closing the application through CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

for boss protection:
  no problem here I guess

for messenger lock:
  simply don't set a password....
but of course you need to double click the tray icon first to access the right-click menu

Boss Protection =
* every messenger window will be hidden and the messenger icon changes to a network drive icon
* systemtray right-click menu is directly accessable
* no password

Messenger Lock =
* every messenger window will be hidden and the messenger icon changes to a messenger plus icon (it will also flash for a while the first time)
* systemtray right-click menu is not directly accessable, you need to double click the icon first
* possebility to set a password (but not mandatory!)

Yes, sorry, I meant Messenger Lock. (Y)
The issue is that whenever I'm AFK, maybe somebody would want to use MSN Messenger on the same PC; but I don't want anyone to be allowed to open my contact list, only close my session and start their own.

I guess the closest solution would be Poligamy. What do you say?

Aha.. well that's something different then ;)

Yep, that is indeed the logic and only solution:
* Patch MSN Messenger for polygamy (EDIT: which is illegal.... ).
* Set a Messenger Lock password on your account.
* Now, whenever you lock your session, another user can stil start up another msn messenger session.

Yup either that ^^^ or set up a new computer logon account, where the person can just have their own user and use XP switch users (providing you have XP)

This will stop some messenger and Plus! function to work properly.

Well, for the moment, polygamy is working well; maybe in the near future I'll switch back to divide the PC with various users (as I used to do in the past), in order to allow an increased privacy for each users.
But both manners work perfectly. :)
