OK there is a new virus going around that gose around in Msn messanger display pictures.Im not joking its called W32.Bropia.M[Nortan anitivirus] also know as IM-Worm.Win32.VB.g [Kaspersky Lab],W32/Bropia.worm.m [McAfee], W32/Bropia.worm.n [McAfee], WORM_BROPIA.M [Trend Micro]

You should put date your virus defitions or if you dont have a anitivirus get one.

It Afects the fallowing operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP

What it dose:  May disable functions on the compromised computer.
                       
                      it sends the fallowing files to your msn contacts:

                      Beautiful Ass.pif
                      John Kerry as Super Chicken.scr
                      Kool.pif
                      Me & you pic!.pif
                     Me Pissed!.pif
                     sexy.pif
                    She Could Fit her Ass in a Teacup.pif
                    she's fuckin fit.pif
                    titanic2.jpg.pif

                    it may also change the mouse buttons

Well this pisses me off, just got a virus from the thread underneath this one.....(?)

Thats true they should really make them atact aim users i hate aim, also they shouldent even make viruses becuase more work to defend computer

lol, technically it's your fault if you get infected with a Bropia variant, everyone should know that you should not open files with unknown extension, expecially not .pif files !

Well wat was the virus that speard though display pictiures because i rember i saw on www.mess.be there was a message about that virus but it wasent very discriptive

it was an _possible_ exploit. Nothing more (well take that "nothing more" with a grain of salt, IF such a virus truely existed it would have been devestating)

Well your right if you think of it iff the person had some diplay picture like that and he had ten ppl on his list then thoughs 10 ppl had another 10 ppl and it would get very big soon the whole msn would get infected some how

I got the virus, what it does is this, Mine was webcam.gif i think
and when u accept it your msn freezez and if you go to my recived files, its a ms dos program, DO NOT OPEN  delete it, also
it makes your status on msn busy, on the day i got the virus, there were tons of peple busy on msn, so it does that and when it sends itself the person sending it cannot reply. I have a qestion also, if i accept the file and i have nortan antivirus 2004. will it help?
