RE: Messenger Help
try this..
downgrade msn to 6.2 than get messenger 5.1 from the official ms site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?F...774&displaylang=en

and try upgrading back to u'r current beta version after that. it happened to me too and this solution worked

RE: Messenger Help
The install screen should only pop up the first time you use Windows Messenger..let it finish and log in once, that oughta solve it. Also make sure that when it installs that the account has adminpriviledges and that nothing else is preventing it from installing (AdWatch, SG etc.).

RE: Messenger Help
Sounds like you have software running that prevents installing. Either that or the account you are installing on doesn't have writeaccess.

RE: Messenger Help
i found some information here... :S slightly related to your problem:
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/ng/microsoft.public.wi...r/post20558130.asp
i have very little knowledge of this stuff so this information may be wrong.. :$

Try clicking Start, then Run, and running this:

msiexec /x {C3A6819F-62D3-4750-AF1C-28206DDF2C2E}

then click OK.

Edit: i hope it works out for u though :sad:
