What is the server that I can use to get notified of my Gmail messages? I've tried gmail.com http://www.gmail.com, and gmail.google.com, but they don't work.

You can find that information in the Help pages of Gmail.

But the server is pop.gmail.com.

Oh, and also look at the little link in my signature "MsgPlus! Help", it's a link to the tutorials on the official site. It might be useful to read those.

is it only for FF?

That server didn't work either.

Gmail has a few limitations (not a Plus! bug). Here you can read about it => CookieRevised's "MsgPlus! 3.50 Pop3 Gmail Limitations"

Thanks, that worked, but then I got a pop up saying I had 97 new messages in my Gmail inbox, but I really had 7.
