O.P. Odd Desktop Refresh
Ok my XP just started to do this and it's driving me up a wall. Every once in a while the desktop icons disappear and then reload and my system tray icons reload.

Any one know what this is?

is explorer.exe crashing? did you installed any dodgy software?

That apen to me too but it's permenent.
The menu bar and the icons disaper, with me it's a WMP10 bug.
I don't know what to do. Then I Just restar the PC...

Run Task Manager, and then Run explorer.exe from the Run command.

@ DJeX: You sound like you have an explorer.exe crash on your hands, as mentioned above. What did you install recently?

LOL hell no, no service pack 2 for me, ever!. I'll never put that crap in my comp. Ermm I don't think exeplorer is crashing bacause I get no errors or warnings. It just happens. Humm havent installed anything latley.
