Hi,
I am using 3.40.112 beta for messenger 7 beta.  I would like to send this download to my friend who has just downloaded the messenger 7 beta. I have looked at the thread where you are meant to download from but don't know what to do - there's no link there to click.  What am I meant to do on this page?  My friend sent me the 3.40.112 link and when I clicked it it automatically opened up in a small grey box and I just needed to click 'Run'.

The newest version of Messenger Plus! is 3.50 which works with MSN Messenger 4.7 to 7.0 beta, you can download it from: http://www.msgplus.net/download.php

The beta link has gone from the link now, as Messenger Plus! is no longer in beta.

Messenger Plus! is now 3.50.0124 (final version not beta).

You can also enter the contest from the Messenger Plus! site and receive a link after you enter the contest to give to your friends, if your friend use your link you get extra chances of winning

Thanks.  Is there Messenger 7 released (not beta).  I have messenger 7 BETA so if there is messenger 7 (not beta) I would be best to install that and then the 3.50.124 as per your suggestion.  Can I not send my friend that download page so she can download 3.50.124 without entering that contest.

Yes you don't have to enter the contest at all.

Just send your friends to the Messenger Plus! download page.

[EDIT:] Forgot to say, no there is no MSN Messenger 7 final version out yet.
It is set to be released next month sometime. (dates are not set yet an could be set for afew months from now).

The final version of Messenger Plus! works fine with the beta versions of MSN Messenger 7.

It's always beta to use the final version of Plus! then it's beta.

Thanks so much for your help and the direct link.  It's working fine with my messenger 7 beta.  My friend is using messenger 7 beta using windows 98 will this 3.50.124 work as well with windows 98?  The only thing I've found is my mouse is dead slow since I've upgraded to 3.50.124 - is this a normal problem?

Yes, it will work fine

Thanks all for your help.  The only problem that I've encountered since downloading 3.50.124 is that my mouse gets stuck and dead slow. hard to point at things.  It only happens when I open messenger.  As soon as I exit from messenger it is fine.  Is this a known problem with 3.50??

nope, this isn't a known problem. You're the first to report such a thing.

Try to run Messenger without Messenger Plus! and see if it still happens. If so, make a bug report and post it in this forum. Make sure you mention the correct and full MSN Messenger version (something like 7.0.0XXX), full version number of Messenger Plus! (something like 3.XX.XXX) and your Windows version...
