I was trying out the top 10 sounds so I typed /sound #{hashgoeshere}

And pressed Enter and this happened



And then I pressed Enter again and it send this to my contact

the /sound command does nothing but change the #hash, put that text [Messenger Plus Sound] bla bla bla... and send it. For some reason, Plus wasn't able to send the text, and when you sent it (the 2nd time you press enter), Plus cuts the [MsgPlus Sound] part.

IMO, the problem may be with your messenger. Tell us what version you have. I have messenger 7.0.732 beta (in spanish) and that sound works prefectly for me. Also, tell us if you used or applied any patch to messenger. Try to use other plus commands like /me or /ping, to see if they work (internally they do something quite similar to what /sound does)

I changed some things in the msglang.dll but that's just shortening some text.

And it doesn't happen everytime, it just happened once. But I thought this can't be good, so I posted it here.

The same (can) happen(s) in all versions...

When the server is too busy it does this.

And it mostly happens when you keep on pressing enter after the /sound #0123 line (because you think it isn't sent). I have this also happening sometimes.

So don't worry Ezra, there's nothing wrong on your side
The soundserver will work better in future
