He did many good things (not only for Christianity), but one thing is for sure and that he was not a great bystander of the looser/open way of celebrating, singing, etc. in Church. In fact he has always been against that stuff. But because of the "outside" pressure he couldn't do anything else then approving it, weither he liked it or not. (but he did some other stupid stuff though, like forbidding the use of contraceptives, etc.)

Oh, and the church will not "close". Dunno where you got that but that isn't going to happen. This is the 21st century, not the 18th...

I know what you meant with 'closed' though, hence I putted it in quotes. If I didn't knew I also wouldn't have said: "of the looser/open way of celebrating, singing, etc. in Church."

lastest news is that he is slipping in and out of conciousness, but not in coma. According to the Vatican press.
