O.P. stupid I.E.
i have a site im making but its aimed at people who will most likely be using i.e.

when viewed in firefox this page looks fine but when i try it in internet explorer it looks shitty because it wont display the colours preperly,

they are identicle because i made the image using the same colour code.

what can be doen to make it work on both just as well is there a php code or somthing like that, that could change it to suit the browser?

take a look using ie and firefox to see the differance.

www.lessthanpaul.uni.cc

it will be properly hosted when i have sorted that out this week this was just from my old freewebs site.

thanks.

Ps i wont reply cos im of now but leave a comment for tomorrow

IE doesn't support PNG transparency, if you're talking about the messed up colours around the image.
The previous sentence is false. The following sentence is true.

I think if you use FrontPage, it'll be the same for all browsers.. thats why i like it.. but if your pages are done already I dunno how it could help..

I don't like Frontpage :S, It makes a Big hoggy messy HTML code, and you can't really make advanced webpages with it... I use Dreamweaver or Notepad :-).

I like my sources as clean and small as possible :-)

True look at my avastar in IE and Firefox and there's a differnce. IE Supports transparent gifs though try converting it as well as you can without loss of quality. Look at my reply to Is there a way to download an image in the format of your choice if you don't know how to do that.

Sorry about my spelling i've rushed this :P

Just changing the extension from .png to .gif doesn't convert the file !
All it does is change the file extension, but the file is still a PNG and not a gif file, it doesn't change anything in the file.
To convert a image, you will need a image converting program, I would recommend XnView, it's a picture viewer/browser with integrated image converter.

Yes, as do I. I like Dreamweaver because it's so neat! It automatically knows where tags haven't been closed, which tags are improperly placed, proper syntax, etc. It's amazing how much work that would have taken to get right. Also Dreamweaver does CSS and PHP and FrontPage doesn't, both of which I can/do use.
