O.P. Huh?  Dynamic Display feature
I guess it refers to displaying a slideshow of pictures one selects in one's PC. Instead I'm directed to a website with "creaticons"...? How does this feature work?

RE: Dynamic Display feature
Dynamic Display Pictures:

This special type of MSN Display Pictures is supposed to change automatically according to your mood.

There are two ways to use this feature:

1) Using emoticons like :) and :( in your conversation will trigger the Dynamic Display Picture to express emotions corresponding to the smileys. If you're the kind of chatter who types more emoticons than two syllable words, you better turn this option off.

2) By clicking an option called "Change mood to" or right-clicking your Dynamic Display Picture, you will be able to set your DDP according to your current mood. As soon as it has finished loading, it appears on both your and your contact's screen.

You have to buy these from Blue Mountain, recently, they disabled the pin that let you get them for free, so unless you can pay, you won't be able to have one now.

Is there a plugin/patch that enables to change the display picture automatically in a slideshow fashion?

Not to my knowledge. I don't think this could be done at all, as there is no way for us to have animated pictures as a display picture anyway.

btw you need to have those certificates because ddps open up a lot of holes for security so microsoft are making sure not just anyone can make them.

Yes there is Download Advanced Display Picture

Although it only works for normal display pictures, not ddp's...
