When I installed MSN Messenger 7 final, I used a contact list enhancement icon that's located to the right of the "MSN Today" button.
However, now the icon is gone and I can't bring it back.

I tried to close and open the program, make the contact list wider, restart windows, reinstall the messenger but nothing works.

I can see this icon ONLY when I enter the options menu in the messenger and drag it over the icon.
But when I close the menu by clicking the cancel or ok button, the icon is gone. and I can't click on it.

My MSN Messenger version is: 7.0.0777
Messenger Plus version: 3.50.124
I'm using WinXP SP2

Are you by any chance are you using a skinned version of MSN Messenger (probably not because of its latest release).

The attached application will give you the specifics of your MSN Contact window. If you could post them that would be great.

The other thing is have you patched MSN Messenger in anyway to remove the buttons or anything like that.

I'm not using any paches, and I don't know what's a skinned version.

I tried to reinstall the MSN messenger 7 and Messenger Plus but nothing works, the icon is still not there.

Is it possible to take a screenshot with the preference window opened but moved enough so you can see the logo, I want to check the logos positioning on the contact list. Thanks

Is your contact list docked to the side at all? (I doubt it from the RECT you gave me). Have you tried to Maximize the contact list window to see if it shows up at that point. If it doesn't work i will say wait until the release of Messenger Plus! 3.51

From your screenshot I noticed that you were running in 16bits, I tried it myself and I too have the same problem. I'll try to fix it for version 3.51 (which probably will fix as well the problem reported for Remote Desktop connections too )

It works !
As soon as I changed to 32bit, the icon was there...
but as I change to 16bit it's gone.
