I use Win XP Service Pack 2 and experience no such problems, but then again i don't use Windows Security Center (built in firewall)...

If this is true a way around it would be to temp disable Windows Security Center (wouldn't recommend going on the internet without a firewall and an AV program though)...

Any pop-up blockers? They can stop things like this but i'd be surprised if it stops Plus! Hope you get the problem sorted.
