I have latest msn (7.0.0777) and the latest messenger plus (installed the new update for today)
I have a problem showing what I'm listening to in msn7, using iTunes instead of windows media player.
It works just fine when I close messenger plus, but if I have messenger plus running it wont show the song.

I really hope you can fix this in an update quite soon, because I love msg+ and couldn't chat without it, although I wan't to use the feature "show what i'm listening to".

PLEASE help me

Really sorry, didn't see that there were a simular thread here, but I didn't find my answe there, so I'll leave it here, and some admin can move it if you want to.

my "what im listening to" stoped working all together and it very annoying, I could only find one other person with my problem.
It might get more common, and I actually want it to so they will fix it
Its not a Messenger Plus problem as far as I know.

somehow the plugin in WMP turned off and it wasnt sending the info to MSN.
Works now!

I've been pulling my hair out over this for days myself, and finally I think I found the answer.

As unlikely as it sounds, try this ->

In MSN : Tools / Options / General / Tick "Open Messanger main window when Messanger starts".

Open iTunes, play a tune.

Completely exit MSN 7 (not just minimise), then restart it!

And that's it, those steps have fixed both mine and a buddy's "What I'm listening to" features!

I have the same problem, but mine is with winamp5.
the "show what i'm listening to" function just does not work when i install MsgPlus 3, i hope that this is fixes ASAP.

its like, just before i install MsgPlus3, it still works. after i install MsgPlus3, for some reason it stops. i uninstall MsgPlus3 and it works again. it clearly has something to do with MsgPlus3.

im using toaster 0.7.4 for winamp5

u can try dling the plug-in for msgplus3 dat supports winamp.

ye i bn having that problem with Windows Media Player for like the past month and one of the posts was right. Somehow WMP disabled the Messenger plugin and to activate it again all you have to do is open WMP and go to tools - plugins and click on messenger plugin . if there is now a tick next to it your problem is fixed hope this helps ppl

upgrade msn to the lastest version. i remember when i was still on .0777 i didn't have any problems. now im using .0813, and having no problems. do you have any plugins with itunes? i have read, but not confirmed that some plugins might affect "what im listening to"
