Help! CPU Underclocking itself!

O.P. Shocked  Help! CPU Underclocking itself!
I just updated my BIOS and went into settings to ensure everything was setup correctly and it says "AMD Athlon 3500+ 1400 Mhz" - but the clock speed is 2200 Mhz :'(


My motherboard is an ASUS A8V Deluxe

It is called Cool and Quiet. The processor will run at a lower speed to do simple calculations. And will raise depending.

Thanks, Matty - it appears this BIOS version brings support for CPU underclocking which wasn't in the old version ^o)
