Use Windows tools instead of PartitionMagic in the first place...
Go to Start > Run, type "compmgmt.msc" and click OK, then go to Disk administration (or something like that - mine is in Spanish).
Yes, you'll lose your data in the disk you want to repartition (unless you're creating a new partition in unused space), but that's the correct way of doing these things.

He wanted to install another OS...and that OS can create partitions while installing, so i said to him to boot from the OS Cd and to install and particionate there....
