is there any plugin for msgplus that allows me to imitate people. i dont use it that much only to annoy anoying people. I know theres the feature in messengerdiscovery but i dont like having that installed just for this purpose. is it possible for a msplus plugin to do this eg "\imitate hi" also the other user would not have to have the plugin, as not many of my contacts have msgplus.

i use quicktexts in combination with SPNG:
quicktext /immitate:
  /xchatname (!N)
quicktext /immitateoff:
  /xchatname (!NP)

Doesn't the quick text only change your chat name to your contacts, what about the font and colour? It would stay as yours and so the contact will be not so easily fooled.

taz030485, you're right, the quicktext feature does not change font or colour as it is not made for this precise purpose. If you want to change font and colour you can get Messenger discovery

I know discovery changes the font but I think Veggie was asking for a plugin to imitate contacts same as discovery (name and font) BUT not to have discovery installed, as he said in his post,

yeah i wanted to install it as it didnt work, full of bugs. the advace imitate didnt work either.

how about a little menu that you could select your font size and colour and name for one message, and save it.

like /imitate john hello

would use the john saved atributes.

I installed it earlier and I couldn't even sign in.

I don't think a menu should be needed, as the plugin should be able to get the font and colour from the current conversation as well as the name, as pepople could change there attributes and they you'd have to change the stored settings, but the down side of this is that the contact has to have said something in order to get the details, unles they are automaticly saved an updated when they are changed

all that should be needed is to go:
"/ximitate hello" the x being there as it is a plugin and not part of plus

If I knew how to code a plugin like this I would, unfortenatly I have a VERY limited coding knowledge, but I would be more then happy to provide any information I can

i too have very limited coding knowledge, dont have enough time to learn VB or C etc as my exams are comming up.

Messenger Discovery needs to be set up to be used by MSN in Connection options as a proxy to 127.0.0.1.

Did you guys do that ?

[Sorry for the off topic post, but Plus! can't copy font colour/size/font without a plugin - besides, Plus! and MessengerDiscovery are awesome together]

I normaily connect through tcp and after I installed discoery I checked the settings and they were changed automaticly and they match your screenshot, I also hit the test button and it said I could connect, but when I hit sign in it says I cannot connect and it brings up the connection trouble shooter
