RE: Computer Temp change....
60 degrees C won't kill your processor. Current AMD chips (don't know about Intel but they're probably similar) will be quite happy at 80C. They won't like you much if they get above 80, but 80 is fine. Mine runs at 55-65 constantly and there's nothing I can do about it. I have 10 fans in my computer and have gone through three heatsinks (including the stock one) costing about £30 each but the auto-shutdown feature of my mobo only kicks in occasionally in the middle of summer (indicating 95C temps :p).

Worrying about it being 40 instead of 30 is crazy. Actually to be honest 30 doesn't even sound like a temperature that a CPU can realistically achieve :S

Well mine came with an LCD screen telling CPU up time and Temp.....

I also reccomend if your comp temp is over 70 that you clean the dust off as soon as possible.

you all forgot to mention something :P

its called Heat compound Settling

when the special compound that helps transfer heat across the heatsink from the cpu dye, settles after awhile temps go up

:P i would also suggest if you are going to use the stock cooler that came with your cpu that you remove the crappy compound they put on it and use either silicon based or artic silver heat compounds

the gooey stuff they put on the heatsinks is really hard to remove completely
