Is ther a way to set ZoneAlarm to automatically allow ZoneAlarm to accept connections for FileZilla Server to work.

I'm using ZoneAlarm Basic (not Pro)

RE: Filezilla Server with ZoneAlarm
In ZoneAlarm click Firewall Settings > Main > Custom > Allow Incoming TCP Ports and then allow TCP port 21. If that doesn't work try and open ports 5000-5100

Sorry, it's been a long time since I've used ZoneAlarm. Click on Firewall on the left, then look for custom, or a main tab then custom. And do what I said.

ZoneAlarm isn't as easy as other firewalls to configure in this way, I may be thinking of pro, the normal version isn't as easy to configure like this. So I hope that it's automatic settings allow this.

Go to program control after opening up ZoneAlarm make sure FileZilla has access to both the internet and server. Basically there's four boxes to tick, make sure in the access column you tick both incoming and outcoming and in the server column click both incoming and outcomeing. All four boxes for FileZilla should be ticked in green.

If that doesn't work go back to the advanced screen and check the box for "allow uncommon protocols at high security", but only do this if making it act as a full server and full access to the internet doesn't work.

Glad I could help, just so I know exactly what the solution was could you please tell me if it was giving it access to the server that helped or was it checking allow "uncommon protocols at high security" that fixed it? Just so I know for helping out people in the future
