O.P. Getting annoyed...
Ok, i just got a computer from my grandma, and windows and stuff installed into it. I run the QIC internet activation thing from Insight, it tells me to hook up my cable from my router...I do so, and my whole computer freezes...How can i fix this?

You're better off using Windows' own wizrads to set up the Internet.

Does it still freeze if you plug the cable in without the ISP's installer running?

Can you please stop double-posting?!
Anyway, the computer shouldn't be freezing when you plug the cable in. You may want to reinstall the network card drivers, other than that, I can't think of anything.
