O.P. Undecided  Sidebar and MSN
When Sidebar is on, the msn toasts are not on the bar, but plus! toasts are, is there a way to make them both on top of the bar?

My plus toasts appear like your MSN toasts appear - not over the bar. Just try changing the sidebar position to float in the sidebar options then change it back to dock and see if this makes any difference.

msgplus toasts uses the screens width to figure out where to put the toasts.

maybe there should be a plug-in (or add feature to SP or A-patch) which changes MSN toasts so that they also use the resolution?

Look if there's any "always on top" options and unselect it. That should probably do it I think.

This is mine where the plus toasts appear beside the sidebar.

My settings for the appearance of the side bar are:

Position: dock at right side

Z-order: normal

.jpg File Attachment: plus toasts.jpg (22.24 KB)
This file has been downloaded 237 time(s).

I think the only way you could do this is:

Right click on sidebar, options, appearance tab, z-order: ondesktop.

This should put the msn toasts over the side bar, but this will also make other windows go over the side bar as well.

You can just use Plus! notifications for when contacts sign-in and turn off the msn messenger notifications.
To turn on Sign-in notifications for plus Goto Plus-> Prefrences-> Notifications-> Popup Deafults-> and Check "Enable Messenger Plus! notifications when contacts sign-in".
