I am using MSN Messenger version 6.2.0205 and was using Messenger Plus version 3.25.106 until recently. I have also patched MSN to make me login with an offline status.

In the past when I logged in with MSN, Messenger Plus would write lines like these in the event log:

[14/05/2005 | 11:52:13] (current user) - You signed in
[14/05/2005 | 11:52:13] (current user) - Your status has been changed to: Appear Offline

Yesterday Messenger Plus told me there was a new version 3.52.130 available which I installed. Since then when I login, with an offline status like before, it just writes the first line:

[14/05/2005 | 11:52:13] (current user) - You signed in

It doesn't seem to want to record that my status has changed, although it has. I know this is just something minor, but it does bug me. Is there anyway to make Messenger Plus record the event that I changed my status?

Go to Plus! => Preferences -> Logging -> make sure "Record contact activities in chat logs" is checked.

He's talking about logging his own status changes. And, as that feature is only on/off, it's likely to be a bug.

it shouldn't have shown "status changed to: appear offline" because you didn't actually change your status. you signed in WITH that status.

it's like... it doesn't say "status changed to: online" when you sign in normally, so it shouldn't say it either with "status changed to: appear offline"
