Second one (grey one).

The brown one looks like an old, bad, crumbled, yellowed, crappy scan of a paper or something. And what's up with the lightburst on top of it?

Use the second one as a base for color additions if you like. It will be much easier to do and to alter...

Second one is better, like cookie said the first looks a bit dirty...

I prefer the second one. Also you should have included a poll in this thread so you could see peoples opinions a little easier, it's kinda hard going through the whole thread trying to count how many people liked pic 1 and how many people liked pic 2.

old and crumbled eh?lol. that is acctually a compliment cuz its supposed to look old, i thought it added a neat dimention to the pic. As for the random light..well yea it does look bad but without it the pic looks sad and dark rather than leaving the question "i wonder what hes thinking."

if you want a decent "old crumbled look" then there are almost always filters you can use to make it look like that

(search on google for tuts on how to make something old)
