Shoutbox

Well it will not allow me to change from 2.1, i click on the box which normally brings up a drop down box to change the speaker settings and it just does nothing.

I've tried re-installing, it still doesn't allow me to do anything with it, changing in the control pannel also fails

(I wish to change to 5.1)

why laugh? i still have a Soundblaster Live myself and find it just as good as the Audigy2,

just coz it hasn't got the extra speakers don't mean anything

to be honest.. i can use EAX3 on my SBLIVE which was originally released with EAX1

now have you tried updating to the latest set on the Creative site?

or uninstalling and reinstalling em

- make sure its synchronized with Sounds and Audio Devices in control panel.
- make sure you drivers and evevrything esle with Creative is up 2 date
- If it doesn't help go to device manager and disable your audio card and then reenable it and restart. (could help)

I have a problem like this, every time I restart my PC the settings turn back to 2.1 although its supposed to be 5.1

Ive got a SB Audigy 2
Mixer version 3.00.58

For some reason its only been happening since I updated the drivers...

BTW s7a5 ive done 1 & 2, and ill try 3 later. Ill post my results.

[Edit 2]Wow, theres quite a few updates on the site, didnt notice, ill check em out.
It worked, but now everytime I start up the logon sound is all messed up, everithing else works fine.

So, just try updating everithing...

I find the creative site very hard to navigate can someone point me in the right direction?

Tried that set back to default it said,

Successfully set back to default. However Some things could not be set back to default

silly error really

the logon sound will be a little messed up after your 2nd restart it will get to normal

When updateing Creative components try to follow this order
1. Drivers
2. Media Source
3. EAX Console
4. everything else

I really don't like their update funcionality and have emailed them many times back then, but it wasn't quite effective as you see. They seem to release patches all the time instead of releasing full drivers that include fixes from previous drivers.
